TL;DR: Opla is looking for a Product Manager
What you will do: Hi future colleague, we are Opla and we are not building rockets flying to the moon. We build software products (with Front End, Back End, Mobile and AI, you name it) that not only our customers but also our internal people love. We are a product development company with high ambitions and elite teams. Each team member is expected to know exactly what to do with minimal guidance. We have the same expectation for the Product Manager, too.
Our expectation: As a Product Manager, you will interact with a wide range of stakeholders from software developers to C-levels. Therefore, we expect you could communicate effectively these “languages”:
1. Business “language”: You are able to listen and understand high level requirements from customers (from end users to C-levels or from internal teams – CEO, CTO, Sales Director), then translate to BRD, SRS, epics, and user stories.
2. Software “language” (yes, it is not programming language): Once you receive the requirements, you are able to transfer those requirements to software developers, testers so that they could implement them easily. Our tech stacks are Golang, NodeJS, ReactJS, React Native, Postgresql… You don’t need to know any of these programming languages in particular but you must know how BE, FE, API, AWS/Azure infrastructure, DevOps and database work together to create a working software. Thus, we expect you have experience as a software developer for a few years in your earlier career path.
3. Scrum “language”: You will work in a team of BE, FE, Tester, Mobile working in Jira and we use Scrum as the working methodology. Therefore, you know what a Product Manager should do to drive the whole development team.
4. Product “language”: We build product, not outsourcing or doing projects. So, you should know exactly the differences between Product and Project and how to make the right decisions.
5. Leader “language”: Have you been leading a team of engineers? If yes, then, this job is for you.
We have high growth targets for this year and upcoming years, so we expect you are already an experienced Product Manager and the above keywords sound familiar to you.
